Argentine billionaire, Ricardo Fort, died
The Argentine billionaire and media Star, Ricardo Fort died early yesterday at age 45 due to a “cardiac arrest associated with massive gastrointestinal bleeding,” according to the medical report of the Sanatorium of Trinidad, where he entered days ago for severe pain in his back and knee.
The eccentric character from Buenos Aires’ showbiz, was one of the heirs of the centennial chocolate Factory, Felfort, founded by his grandfather Felipe.
His life was marked by excesses. He was involved romantically with dozens of women, including showgirls, models, and actresses. After years of speculation, Fort openly acknowledged his homosexuality. He had twin sons conceived in the United States through a surrogate.
The millionaire always sought for fame, even, his first appearance on television was a a reality show about his life, paid by him. In 2009 he became a celebrity when Marcelo Tinelli invited him to participate as a competitor in the segment ‘The musical of your dreams’ in Showmatch tv show. Fort returned to the program as a juror where he managed to be in the eye of the storm . In 2011, a big fight on air made Tinelli to fire him of the program.
Fort underwent 27 cosmetic surgeries to improve his appearance. He also underwent numerous body and facial surgeries, as implants; he even put three inches of heels to be taller.
In recent years, his several hospitalizations were due to health reasons, especially for severe pain in the spine and left knee which he calmed with large doses of pain killers.
