Díaz, Palacios and Valencia, sanctioned by the Ecuadorian Soccer Federation
Damian Diaz, the star player of Barcelona Sporting Club, was sancionet by the Ecuadorian Soccer Federation with 1 month and a date out of the field for pushing the referee Miguel Hidalgo during the match played against Deportivo Quito last Saturday at the capital.
Leonardo Stagg, trustee of Barcelona, said that the Club will not appeal the sanction imposed by the FEF. “We can ask for an appeal but it is very hard to ask for a reduction,” he concluded.
For Pablo Palacios, player of Universidad Católica, the sanction was more severe, a 4-month suspension for making obscene gestures to the fans in his team’s encounter against Liga of Loja.
Meanwhile, the electric midfielder Enner Valencia would miss three dates for recidivism in assaulting a rival.
