Henry Cucalon: “Moreno does not have a blank check”
Posted On 08 May 2017
Legislator-elect representing the Social Christian Party Henry Cucalon spoke with DailyExpreso about the work agenda of his party for the new government.
The fundamental axis is the economic situation, which demands a positive change and not a collective delusion. “We must recall that the government has no money, so dollarization is a hindrance. Strengthening it is our priority, so we will demand transparency in the economic management. But everything goes hand in hand: rights, the economic and social aspects.”
“I submitted a reform to the Audit Commission. But the separation of functions is essential for this to work. That, unfortunately, is not possible yet: Correa is leaving, butcorreism is impregnated in the government, even the Attorney General does not plan to leave office. If that does not change, political control is insufficient.”
